Kenneth E. Devore is the owner and founder of Kenneth E. Devore & Associates, APC. Opening his doors as a solo practitioner in 1997, Ken has successfully grown the firm to the size it is today.
Ken is certified as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He provides clients with comprehensive planning solutions that integrate lifetime and estate planning objectives, including advanced planning for retirement assets, income and property tax planning, structuring family gifts to move assets downstream, family limited partnerships, and charitable trusts. His practice also includes probate and trust administration, with an emphasis on identifying planning opportunities that arise at death.
As a “Super Lawyer,” Ken is one of no more than 5% of attorneys in the State of California to be nominated by his peers and evaluated by an independent organization to receive this designation. Ken is a founding member of the Conejo Valley Estate Planning Council, and is a past Chair of the Estate and Gift Tax Committee of the California State Bar's Taxation Section. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Hyperacusis Research, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to finding a cure for Hyperacusis, a hearing disorder involving a collapsed tolerance to sound.
Ken received his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of California, San Diego in 1991, his Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University in 1995, and his LL.M. in taxation from Golden Gate University in 1999.
